Perhaps nothing has changed during the past two decades than photography. Onemajor change was imaging.  In the late twentieth century film held a dominant role.  Only professional photographers had professional cameras and the knowledge required for taking professional grade pictures.  Most photographers were men and there were relatively few studioes.  Equipment was expensive and prints were made primarily from negative film.
Durint the last decade digital imaging changed almost everything about photography.  Today females constitute over 60% of the market in wedding and portrait photography.  Most are young women who have purchased an inexpensive digital camera and are woefuly lacking in experience and knowledge of the principles of photography.  This past year at the Wedding andcapable of taking quality pictures.  Digital photography has changed this significantly.  Quality cameras can be purchased for less than $500.00 although they lack flash power to be really effective.  In this evolution in photography predictions are that telephone cameras will soon dominate the camera market with the ability to take still and motion images.
Cameras can make exposures but they can not produce quality images.  Photographic programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Elements and Adobe Lightroom make manipulation of images almost miraculous.  However, such programs require many hours of study and years of practice in order to maximize their image capabilities.
The greatest

I have had a life-long love for photography.  Looking back I remember taking rolls of pictures as a child with my little box-shaped Kodak Brownie camera.  At age 14 I had as a mentor one of the most gifted photographers in Louisiana. I got to spend seven years working full and part-time with him at our local daily newspaper.

THANKS

One of the greatest joys in creating beautiful images is the pleasure others get from them.  No matter how many times I repeat the process, the newness and pure delight just seem to grow with the passage of time.

People often express their appreciation in different ways.  Some write brief notes like this one: Thank you very much.  The pictures are great!!  Others write letters such as this artist from New York who had put on an exibit at a local college: The images you took are splendid and will be a big help as I show others here in New York.  I will be sure to pass along your name and contact information with great praise to the professors to the school in case they may need another show to be photographed.

Thanks even appear on checks as the one I just deposited: The pictures are GREAT!!  God Bless!

Appreciation can manifest itself in the most unusual places.  I was in the dentist chair recently and one of the technicans, for whom I had constructed a composite picture, leaned over and hugged me.  Tears began to flow as she related how much her Christmas picture I had made was treasured by the receipent. He had just lost his young wife in an automobile accident.

The science and art of photography change constantly.  I never stop practicing, learning, and experimenting.  I know the dividends constant improvement bring in joy to myself and to my clients.
